    The Royal Canadian Mint did not issue any Two dollars for circulation between 1997 - 2001.
    This Polar Bear dollar was available only in all five Coin Collector Sets in 1998-2000 making these coins a must-have for collectors.
    W Mint Mark
    Up until 1997, all the coins of the uncirculated sets were struck in Ottawa. However in 1997, 1998 and 2000, the production of Uncirculated Sets was split between Ottawa and Winnipeg. Except for coins struck in 1997, all coins minted in Winnipeg received a W mint mark on the obverse side. Mintage was unknown as to how many W coins were produced.
