Paris: Gallimard. 1924. First Edition. 12mo. 214 pp. Inscribed by the author on the title page to the French composer, one of 'Les Six': "A Georges Auric, en affectueux souvenir, André Gide." Fragile wrappers toned and worn, paper yellowed throughout, otherwise very good. An interesting association copy inscribed by the influential French writer whose wide-ranging musings on politics, sexuality, and personal freedom earned him the 1947 Nobel Prize in Literature.
