Antique Original Cast Iron JOHN RANDLES INC. N.Y.  Mangle. Clothes wringer or Proof Press for Metal Stereo Plates (says a couple of press people)
Very nice condition for its age and still fully functional.  John Randles inc. was located at 208-210 Water Street, New York, New York.
THE LAST IMAGE shows an antique stand for a commercial iron with an image of the same John Randles mangle.  It is the only image and only information we have been able to find on the item.  The stand is NOT INCLUDED in the sale, rather, it is included as a reference.
It was pretty dirty when we acquired it and we suspect someone was using it as a printing press.
The top cast iron plate is 20" wide and 24" long.  The top roller is 20 1/2" wide.  The press is 43" deep and 32" wide without the handle.  Add 7" for the handle.  Overall, it is 52" high.
Best guess is 300 to 400 pounds.
