Description
Antique Washer Wringer. Probably Bluegrass brand, Louisville.. Condition is "For parts or not working". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. This wringer is power driven from the wash machine, unlike the common hand cranked ones. The left side metal parts, opposite the right angle gear drive is, is believed to be complete except for the bottom spring keeper, easily fabricated. There is enough wood on the left side to provide dimensions for two new frame posts. The metal parts (5: end bumper, and two spring keepers, gear shield and drain board bracket) can be duplicated for the right side by any machine shop.
This wringer probably fits on a hit and miss or electric washing machine sold by Belknap Hardware of Louisville. The second spring is a close (but not exact) match to the original. The wringer weighs approx. 18 lbs as is. Feel free to ask questions. Photos are the description.
