Antique Wooden Anchor Brand No. 770 Wooden Clothes Wringer Erie PA Pat. 1882.
This is what I know is wrong with this particular item. The handle is missing the wooden cover that once was there , the second board from the top was once broken and has been glued back together and one of the clamps that were used in clamping it to a tub is missing a foot. The print is wearing off in areas which makes it tough to read in those places. This is a machine patented 140 years ago almost! As far as I can tell everything actually still works. It's a truly amazing item for it's time.
