Up for sale is a rare Antique Empire Wooden Mangle / Clothes wringer with Hand crank, has Empire written on the top, says Trademark (Horse Shoe Symbol) with AW in the center, also says “Turns with half the labor of other mangles” Bearings of Rolls Need No Oiling Wheels Always In Gear, Manufactured In U.S. Of America, Patented on 27&May26 (and then shows some dates that I can’t quite make out, as well as some more words) and the last part appears to say Britain ? Aug.1881 this is a very cool find, I purchased this to use as a prop and add to a wall mural that I’ve been working on but underestimated its weight, it is very very heavy, also it is untested, please see photos for better idea of condition, I would say it’s been well cared for considering it’s age.
