There is a severe shortage of n95 masks since SARS CoV-2/Cov-19 Outbreak in this country. Dentists, and healthcare professionals are looking for a safe way to reuse their precious n95 masks. To reuse a n95 mask, there are not many options. One cannot use alcohol, bleach, or soap to wash or clean these used masks. Heat is an option, but to keep it at 70 degrees centigrade is difficult. UV becomes our most logical choice.
Not every UV light has the right wavelength to kill microbes, UVc has the right wavelength of 200-280nm, proven to safely and quickly destroy bacteria and viruses genome (including Cov-19).
I have designed this "UVc Chamber" to meet this challenge.
My UVc Chamber uses this UVc wavelength to disinfect and decontaminate n95 masks in just five minutes (timer included)! My expertise is in the area of helping CPAP users to clean their tubing. My design includes a very light but sturdy stainless steel box with a rack and two UVc lamps, and it includes a timer to remind users not to go beyond 5 minutes. There are certainly many sophisticated UVc units out there but none can compete with this sturdy and simple design. Not to mention that our price is most competitive.
