Hello people! I bought this recorded for a specific project - capturing ambient sounds for a video game (Dungeon Defenders) and it worked flawlessly for the tasks. There are a few reasons why I picked this machine:
For one, the form factor is great and feels sturdy without being heavy and it's a breeze to setup. Most importantly, it comes with 2 mic inputs which is huge if you have a good mic collection or later decide to buy some meaning that the setup can get better over time. You have phantom power on board as well as a limited and a compressor.
It also works as a portable standalone interface which is why people are using these for podcasting and field streaming. When attached to the computer it can draw power from the USB so you don't even need to carry batteries!
My setup has changed tremendously and I rather see this get some use than collecting dust on my shelf. Comes with the case and pop filter
